“Take Stock in Children announces Mentor 101 Training Dates”

Pasco County, FL – July 16, 2018 — The Pasco Education Foundation’s Take Stock in Children Scholarship program is currently recruiting mentors for the upcoming 2018-19 school year.

Mentors are needed throughout the high schools in Pasco County to meet the TSIC students at their schools on a weekly basis. Mentors offer friendship and guidance as the students work towards earning their TSIC scholarship.

Complete training will be offered, complete with toolkits. Training is held at the Pasco County Schools District complex in Land O Lakes, FL.

·         July 24, 2018     10:00am – 11:00am

·         July 25, 2018       1:00pm – 2:00pm

·         July 31, 2018       10:00am – 11:00a,

·         August 2, 2018    2:00pm – 3:00pm

·         August 6, 2018   11:00am – 12 noon

ABOUT TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN Founded in 1995 in response to the need for a scholarship program that provided more than just financial assistance to recipients, Take Stock in Children is an award-winning program that provides scholarships, mentors, and hope for a better future to Florida's most deserving, yet at-risk children. A public-private partnership, this school-based mentoring organization has positively affected the lives of more than 30,000 children. Scholarships are purchased through the Florida Prepaid College Foundation, which provides matching funds to further impact the scholarship donations to Take Stock in Children.
